Creamy Oatmeal With Fruits

Oatmeal is warm, soft, and easy to eat with braces. It cooks quickly and adapts well to different flavor combinations. Adding fruit makes it both nutritious and more enjoyable.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 small banana sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine rolled oats, whole milk, water, and salt over medium heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes until the oats are soft and creamy.
  • Stir in honey, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for 1-2 minutes.
  • Divide oatmeal into two serving bowls.
  • Top each bowl with sliced strawberries, blueberries, banana, and chopped almonds.
  • Serve warm and enjoy immediately.
